Our journey begins in the Old Town Quarter of Rennes, where we are ideally located for visits to Normandy and Brittany. Do the Earth energies of Mont Saint Michel, an island on the northwest coast of Normandy, call you? Walking over the causeway we’ll visit the island that’s connected to St. Michael’s Mount in Cornwall by the Apollo & Athena energy currents (like the Michael & Mary earth energy lines in England).

Spanning back in time to our Neolithic ancestors, we’ll visit Carnac & Kermario in Brittany, to connect with our ancestors and explore the mysteries of their ancient sites and astronomical alignments.

Concluding our time in western France, we move hotels to Paris, famous for many things; the city of love, passionate people, fashion, delicacies, art, museums, the River Seine, the merging of ancient and modern architecture and its history from past to present. June is an exquisite time to be there, warmed by early summer days… bursting with life, you will be swept up with the spirit of Paris…

Walking the city streets, everywhere you look will present another picture-perfect scene. Cruising the River Seine we see some of the oldest sites in Paris. Hearing the call, we head to the magnificent architecture of Notre Dame Cathedral, one of the landmarks of Paris and we'll take time to visit it and learn how it works energetically. At Saint-Chappelle we’ll stand in awe raptured by its beautiful stained glass windows. And nowhere says Paris more than the Eiffel Tower that we'll ascend to get a panoramic view over the city.

Like seasoned travelers of the world we’ll take the high-speed train to the city of Chartres the home of the well-known Chartres Cathedral, renowned for its twin spires, fabulous Gothic architecture, exquisite blue tinted stained-glass windows and its famed labyrinth. There will be free time for you to wander the boulevards of Paris, people watch from a street cafe or visit a place of your choice.

With our hearts and senses stirred by our pilgrimage through the North of France you will either conclude your journey or travel on with Journeys With Soul to Southern France, where we’ll harmonize the sacred feminine and masculine within us!

    Day 2 – Tues 19th June

The Neolithic sites of Carnac & Kermario lie close to the southern coast of Brittany. Together they comprise eleven parallel rows of standing stones stretching across the countryside for several miles. The original purpose, as with so many ancient sacred sites, is unknown but astronomical alignments have been discovered with the stones. This site was built around the same time as Stonehenge in England. We will have the pleasure of meeting Howard Crowhurst, an author and curator of a visitor centre dedicated to greater understanding of the alignments; Howared is probably the world's greatest authority on Carnac’s alignments and he will be our knowledgable and entertaining guide for the afternoon! Be prepared to be wowed!

    Free evening

    Day 3 – Wed 20th June

Today we’re off to the World Heritage listed island of Mont Saint Michel, off the coast of Normandy. We’ll visit the exquisite former Benedictine Abbey on its summit and have time to walk around the island, which becomes separated from the mainland at high tide when the causeway is flooded by the sea. The Apollo & Athena energy lines (like Michael & Mary lines of England) go through the island and connect to St. Michael’s Mount in Cornwall, which is very similar in many aspects. This place is dramatic and has a lot to teach us as well as being spectacular in its own right.

Following our visit to Mont St Michel our coach and driver will deliver us to the train station in Rennes where we’ll catch the highspeed train to Paris, our next hotel base for three nights. After checking into our centrally located hotel we’ll dine at a French cuisine restaurant close to our hotel.

    Dinner included

    Day 4 – Thurs 21st June

Today we experience the city of love while being guided through Paris on a walking tour by Bridgit, a local Parisian who has been our guide every year.

We start with a short walk to visit Notre Dame Cathedral, a magnificent example of Early Gothic architecture that dates to 1163. We'll learn of the energetic importance of architecture and location as the basillica sits on the Ile de la Cite, a small island created by a split in the river Seine at the heart of Paris.

No other structures symbolise Paris like the Arc de Triumphe and the Eiffel Tower which we will ascend to gain 360 degree panoramic views over the city of lovers.

The fantastic stained glass of Saint-Chappelle is a visual feast for the senses and truly breathtaking. The 'walls' are almost totally made of tall medieval coloured glass windows so you find yourself being bathed in rainbow light from all sides; it truly is an experience not to be missed!

Finally we will take a cruise on the river Seine to see some of the city’s main sites from the perspective of the waterway that brings the 'lifeblood' to Paris.

Free evening to explore great local restaurants and all the nightlife that Paris has to offer.

    Day 5 – Fri 22nd June

This morning we will take the fast train from Paris to Chartres to visit the Gothic Chartres Cathedral. Chartres is famous as both one of the first and greatest medieval Gothic cathedrals and also because it houses the beautiful and famous labyrinth, inlaid in the floor of the nave. We're visiting on a Friday because this is the only time when the chairs are removed and visitors are free to walk and experience the labyrinth. After a leisurely lunch at a local café we will return to Paris for free time to explore any aspects of the city that appeal to you before our closing circle and dinner.

    Dinner included
