Remembrances
from the Summer

By Cameron Broughton

Leading six tours in England in 2007, we experienced our busiest summer ever. Each tour was a joy and unusual in its own way. Having completed the season, Glenn and I are thrilled to report that we feel as privileged now as we did when we were creating them. It has been an honor to be with all who traveled with us.

Amazingly we had people from all five continents join us this summer. Glenn was his usual charming, fun loving self, overflowing with experience, knowledge and information while Cameron in her insightful way held the group space and provided the opportunity through ceremony for participants to connect with the earth, their inner spirit, connection to source and the spirit of the land.

The season began with our Sacred Sounds, Sacred Sites, Sacred Journeys tour which we led with Sound Healer, Zacciah Blackburn. It was an amazing group of pilgrims that joined us, some of whom knew each other through Zacciah and others who were drawn to the tour through our website. We traveled from the tip of Cornwall eastward to the sacred sites of Wiltshire. Embarking on this journey there was a diverse group of sound healers and Pagan Goddess worshipers who wove their beliefs while entwining with the Michael and Mary earth energy currents, as their respect and appreciation of one another grew.

A wonderful couple from Colorado asked if they could exchange marriage vows at Avebury Stone Circle on Beltane and we were more than happy for them to do so. The group rose to the occasion and this ceremony became the perfect culmination of our journey together.

Wondering how anything could compare, we were reminded immediately of the beauty in every moment. Each tour there was filled with its own magic and mystery, as those who traveled with us this summer will agree.

We were privately commissioned to lead a tour with forty seven people. It was a group from Seattle Washington who travel together every year. When asked, we said we don't do tours with groups this large, they said "We know but we have searched and we know you would be perfect for our group". The person who contacted us said we all know one another and we have great rules - no complaining, be on time and if you're late take a cab. With rules like that how could we refuse? They were wonderful and true to their word. They were fun-loving and shared in the joy of being in England.

Many will remember the beauty of Salisbury Cathedral, the experience of watching the sunset over the ocean from our cliff top hotel in Tintagel and walking from the Hurlers Stone Circle to the Cheesewring, a natural formation of layered stones set in the dramatic landscape of Dartmoor. We hired a coach and driver for this tour and were totally blessed with Trev who participated as much as drove. He did a tremendous job, seemingly loved the experience and managed to negotiate the narrow Cornish lanes with tremendous skill and good humor much to the delight of everyone on board.

Back to the States and Canada for a brief visit and speaking engagement at the Canadian Society of Dowsers annual convention. Glenn was the key note speaker and Cameron and Glenn then spoke together sharing their experiences of the Michael and Mary energy lines that course through the southwest of England.

Returning to England we began with the Celtic Britain Spirit of Place tour. This was a smaller gathering of bright souls. Transition and expansion seemed to be themes running through this tour. It was wonderful to watch as members of the group experimented with dowsing and feeling energies. For most it was a new experience yet they took to it like the old souls that they are.

Although this wasn't a crop circle tour many of the group wanted to visit a crop circle when we reached Wiltshire and they were blessed by visiting one of the most amazing circles of the season the day after it occurred. It was the 'Om' circle in East Field, about a thousand feet long and five hundred feet wide. The energy was palpable and the flow of the circle the most beautiful we'd experienced. We met Francine Blake and Lucy Pringle in the circle along with a fellow by the name of Gary who had been on a night watch looking for light phenomenon the night that it occurred. He and his friends had seen when it was formed. There was a wide flash of light that illuminated the entire field and after that they saw the formation in the early dawn light. Visiting the circle was a highlight for our travelers.

Crop circle season was full under way by the time that our first Crop Circle and Sacred Sites tour began in July. It was a spectacular season from beginning to end. We had a full tour of twenty four who were so enthused that they didn't even seem to mind the inclement weather that we experienced for the first few days. There were new circles almost daily and we basked in the mystery and miracles. There were many photos of light orbs in the crop circles and at sacred sites and one photo of a blue luminosity or light being on a church tower. We were being shown again this season that miracles are all around us, check in with your heart and enjoy their wonder. Joy was the theme for the members of this beautiful group who had bonded immediately.

To complement our final day's experiences in the field we spent two evenings attending the Crop Circles Summer Lectures held next door to our hotel in Devizes. Karen and Steve Alexander and Michael Glickman, the organizers of the conference, had invited us to share our presentation on 'EarthSpirit Whisperings from a Leyline' at the lectures which we were happy to do.

Our second Crop Circles and Sacred Sites tour was a smaller group all of whom were healers of one sort or another bringing an entirely different perspective to the experience. Everyone wanted to be in the circles to experience their energies and healing properties. One of our group members was blind which also helped us to see the circles in a different way. We slowed down and walked the circles with her, etching them into our psyche as if we were drawing them with pencil and paper. There were many more photos with light orbs and anomalies confirming our findings on the first crop circle tour. We ended this journey the annual Wiltshire Crop Circle Study Group Conference in Marlborough, always a wonderful experience.

Last but not least we culminated our tour season with another privately commissioned Sacred Sites pilgrimage with a wonderful group called together by two spiritual leaders from Colorado. We began the tour on the edge of Dartmoor visiting sites along the Michael and Mary energy currents with an additional visit to Dozmary Pool and Tintagel. We stayed in Tavistock to begin with which was new to us. It was a beautiful old town and very close to Brentor, Lydford, Belstone and Nine Stone Circle, a few of the places that we visited.

On our first day it was pouring rain harder than we had seen it rain all summer. As many from the group were from hot dry climates and weren't prepared for English rain. Glenn brought them to the outdoor clothing shop where they bought rain pants (leggings), rain coats, umbrellas and some even bought boots. It rained all the way to Dozmary Pool and as soon as we arrived the heavens cleared and the sun shone down as we began the first leg of our journey. It was sunny from that point on.

We were blessed with several more amazing events one of which was a 'spinning sun' during our visit to Chalice Well Garden. We had never seen anything like it. You could look directly at the sun, it was as if there was a grey disc that had covered the body of the sun and out of the disc you could see colors of pink, blue, lavender and gold pulsing out of it. It would be one color and then change to another. The most amazing thing was that everyone was seeing the same colors at the same time. Another unforgettable experience was being inside the inner circles of stones at Stonehenge as the sunset and the near full moon rose, as countless generations of pilgrims before us had observed.

We know from the responses we've received from our fellow travelers that their lives have been enriched in ways that will continue to unfold. We feel blessed to have shared in the magic and mystery that we experienced together.
